The
Hotel was built in 1892 in the bustling port which brought flagstone to
the world. It has always been central to the community first being the village
then district Post Office before transforming into the St Clair Arms Hotel.
Through the years both national and international guests have been welcomed,
including many famolus names. Most notably in 1969 Paul and Linda McCartney
enjoyed the highland hospitality on their Honeymoon. |

Castletown's ace is the incredible physical setting, nestling in the curve
of Dunnet Bay, protected by the massive sandstone cliffs of Dunnet Head
with captivating Murkle Bay a stone's throw away. |
