A short distance from the hotel is Dunnet Beach which, along with the
headland and Dunnet Links, is of particular interest to ornithologists.
There is a wealth of species to be found in the National Nature Reserve
of Dunnet Links.
Inland lochs, the sea shore, the dunes and the rocky cliffs provide an
abundance of wild life.
For the enthusiast, there is a hide overlooking a shallow pond at the
North West Corner of St Johns Loch. Further Information from Julian Smith.
